The Opportunity:

We are looking for an individual who will support and drive Chanelle Pharma’s vision to be the most valued global provider of high quality, competitively priced pharmaceutical products and to provide excellent services and support to our customers.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist will apply strong fundamental expertise in the support of Environmental, Health and Safety compliance within the company


  • Support the Company Objectives in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of EHS programs
  • Development of KPI’s and aspects, ensuring compliance with all legislation and standards
  • Support the effective integration of EHS into the day-to-day activities, management and meeting structures
  • Support management in carrying out incident investigations and monitor close out action items
  • Maintaining updating and writing of H&S procedures and compliances.
  • Carry out risk assessments and follow up any changes implemented
  • Promote site Safety Behaviour program
  • Supervise outside contractors in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Support EHS programs including Machine safety, Chemical risk assessments, Noise, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics etc.
  • Maintain compliance to documented procedures and cGMP requirements to the highest possible standards.
  • Deputise for the EHS Manager when required

  • Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Analytical & strong problem-solving skills
  • Maintains the highest standards of ethical behaviour. Escalates issues appropriately.



  • Demonstrated initiative and self-starter
  • Min Diploma / BSc in a Health & Safety/ Environmental discipline.
  • 3-4 years’ experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Skill or experience in industrial Hygiene / Chemicals / process safety is off particular advantage
  • Can work independently as well as with other departments.
